About Us

    Purpose

The purpose of the Dinuba Mennonite Brethren Church is to glorify God through evangelism, worship, and  nurture.  The Church exists to influence, win and equip as many people as possible for God's redemptive purposes.  The work of the Church is to result in the "equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, too a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12-13).  Ultimately its purpose is to help people everywhere become conformed to the image of Christ (Romans 8:29).  The Church seeks to minister to all people and all nations, regardless of race, sex, social status, nationality, or age.

    Objectives

The major objectives of the Church are:

    1. To be a worshipping congregation (Acts 2:42, 46).
    2. To be a caring fellowship (Acts 2:42, I Thess. 5:11).
    3. To be an evangelistic force (Acts 2:47).
    4. To be a serving community (Acts 2:44-45).
    5. To be an equipping center (Acts 2:42, Eph. 4:11-12).
    6. To be a praying body (Acts 4:23-31).
    7. To be Spirit-filled (Acts 4:32, Eph. 5:18).

    Affiliation

The Church is a  member of  the Mennonite Brethren Pacific District Conference and United States Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches.  Its bylaws shall be in harmony with the bylaws of the above mentioned conferences, and the Church gives spiritual and material support to projects and activities of these conferences.

    Faith and Conduct

The Church accepts the scriptures as the inspired Word of God and as the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.  The Confession of Faith of North American Mennonite Brethren Churches serves as the confession of faith and the standard of conduct for this Church.

    What We Believe

The Dinuba Mennonite Brethren Church believes that the whole Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and that it is the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and life.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that there is one Mediator between God and mankind.  He is the Man, Christ Jesus, who came to redeem us from sin and reconcile us to God.  We believe that salvation is the free gift of God, bestowed by grace, on those who repent and believe in Christ as Savior and Lord.

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, a family of God's people, who live in obedience to His Word as a fellowship of love, intercession, and healing.

We believe that Christ commissioned the church to go into all the world, making disciples of all nations, and ministering to every human need.

We believe that Christians should not be conformed to the world, but follow Christ in every area of life.

We believe in the blessed hope of Christ's coming again, when He will judge all people and establish God's everlasting kingdom.
